M&S were proud to be the Official Tailor of the England World Cup team and wanted to shout about it. The result was a 96 Sheet poster and also series of consecutive press ads featuring four of the legendary '66 World Cup winning team.

The boys from the '66 team completely outshone their current day counterparts on the shoot day. Open and approachable they came from a day before agents and pampering. It was amazing to sit down to lunch with them and to even kick a ball around the studio with Geoff Hurst and his grandson!

And when a couple of the current day players featured in the ads didn't make the final squad, the shot made front page news.
